Texture Sprays
USE:
Moisturizing, sulfate-free shampoos.
Hydrating shampoos with lightweight oils.
Deep condition every few washes.
Light daily oil or serum for hydration.
Get approval before using any products other than the ones recommended by us.
WASHING:
Before you go into the shower, thoroughly brush out each row of your extensions to avoid matting & helping with the cleansing process.
Never wash your hair in an overhead position. Wash it upright or tilt your head back.
The cooler the water, the better.
Shampoo: Use recommended Shampoo (sulfate & paraben free)
Be sure to wash in between each row.
Be gentle around the track where your extensions are attached.
Avoid vigorous movements & circular motions that could cause tangling.
Rinse shampoo out really well, all the way up to the scalp.
Condition: Use recommended Conditioner (sulfate & paraben free)
Pull hair back and apply conditioner from mid-shaft to ends & avoid the track to prevent buildup. Work down the hair & leave for 3-5 minutes.
DRYING, BRUSHING, & STYLING:
Using a microfiber towel or a t-shirt, squeeze dry your hair (do not rub - hair is more fragile when wet, so be gentle.)
Remove about 70-80% of water before brushing by air drying or drying gently with a shake from your blow dryer.
Use your extension wet brush 2-3x daily to remove any tangles.
Hold your hair into a ponytail and brush the bottom of the hair and then start further up and continue to brush down. Brush between rows also.
Apply leave in conditioner, heat protectants, and treatment oils from your mid-lengths to the ends.
Blow dry your root area or point of attachment 1st with low-medium heat, and dry them quickly after getting your hair wet, whether it was from swimming, shower, sauna, etc.
Blow dry remaining hair starting at the ends and working your way up to the dry point of attachment area.
STYLING TOOLS:
ALWAYS make sure you have applied a heat protectant.
Curl or flat iron hair using 270F-350F. Without getting any heat on your point of attachment.
SLEEPING:
Brush hair before bed and put into a braid or low ponytail.
We recommend using an invisi-bobble or scrunchie to avoid damage.
Silk or Satin pillowcases are your BEST FRIEND!
Do not go to bed with wet hair, it can cause breakage!
COLORING:
DO NOT COLOR YOUR EXTENSIONS!! Contact us with any questions.
Expect some color fading depending on how you follow the care guidelines or how often you wash your hair.
Discuss a custom color plan with your stylist.
SUNSCREENS:
Avoid use of chemical based sunscreens (especially with Avobenzone - Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane) as this can discolor the hair orange or pink and the coloring damage is irreversible.
Please use mineral based sunscreens only or Zinc Oxide based & do not mix with other harmful ingredients.
Always wear your hair up when you use sunscreen to avoid getting sunscreen on your hair accidentally.
SWIMMING & WORKING OUT:
Before entering water, apply tap water to your hair and add a bit of leave-in conditioner or UV protection to the ends. Tie in a loose pony or braid.
Wash the chlorine or salt out of the extensions when you are done swimming, add leave in conditioner and follow drying instructions listed above.
Please note that your warranty will become void if your hair has been stained or has changed color after swimming.
We recommend to brush, wash, and condition your hair as quickly as possible after intense physical activity.
HARD WATER:
If you have hard water, we recommend purchasing this water filter for your shower > https://a.co/d/0hngshGR
OTHER IMPORTANT TIPS:
After you wash your hair at home, your extensions will fluff up and settle. If you experience more shedding than usual please call us. If you notice more tangling than usual, it maybe your products & we recommend you change them immediately.
